To let the dog sleep in the kitchen tonight?

I don't think I am but I know DH won't like it.

She has epilepsy and has just a massive seizure. She is in a semi conscious state atm. She has stopped fitting and is aware that I am here but won't move/eat/drink.

She has done this before so there is no need to panick. She will stay like this for two/three hours, be 'odd' for about a week and then fine for a few months, when she will fit again

The reason DH doesnt like it is that she has little control over bladder/bowels in this state and he says she makes the kitchen stink. But the floor is concrete so can easily be bleached.

I don't want to put her out in her kennel in this state, though she always sleeps outside. I just feel cruel carrying her out into the cold. I'd feel better if she was in the kitchen on an old blanket and I will clean her mess up in the morning.

So AIBU?

YANBU - Where is DH compassion for his dog? Would he like to be put outside when not feeling well. You leave her where she is nd fingers crossed there wo't be anything to clear up in the morning.

Kitchen it is then. I am too tired to think straight right now. It has been a long week.

poopsoop Dh also has epilepsy. I have threatened to put him outside next time he hs a fit as it is not unknown for him to lose control of his bladder . He was not impressed.

I also pondered whether it would be kinder to have him put to sleep if his fits continued . He stopped mentioning having the dog put to sleep after that.

She is now settled on old blankets in the kitchen, where she will remain to sleep for the next week untill she is 100% again. Should DH have a fit in the meantime, her kennel will be free

SheSells - so I should think so!! Grr at your DH anyway, but more so when he has epilepsy as well, he should be more compassionate!! Like your solution though
