To think being in A&E was a good excuse for not being at work?

That's harrassment surely? Calling you to ask you not to go to a&e?? The symptoms seemed serious enough for you to be sent to the hospital so work should not be asking you to go in. I would be speaking to the hr department about that.

did colleague who called know you were in A&E? unnecessary additional stress when you are ill

anyway, are you ok.how did this resolve?hope you get better

Tell them if they want you in AT ALL - AGAIN - then u had to go to A&E.

Some workplaces really think the world will come crashing down if you stop for five mins or whatever - really makes me laugh.

i would call and ask WTF is their problem TBH, you were sent to A&E - it could have been serious, luckily it wasnt.

I would be saving the messages and showing them to HR as soon as I was well enough to be back at work.

It is very out of order.

Hope you are feeling a little bit better x

ok just clarifying sometimes things don't get passed on and calls get made.most unreasonable.do raise this with your boss

so they were having a panic, and expected you to be in.well health takes precedence over work imo
