We take DS to swimming lessons - he is 13 months. We got a letter through recently to see if we wanted to take part in underwater photo shoot thing. It will cost £30 to turn up then the smallest photo is £47 quid. Its says on the publicity blurb that the best images are really the bigger ones - so it would be over £100. I really liked the idea of getting a photo but it just feels like such a rip off. Do you reckon I will regret it if we don't go for it ? am I just being mean and is this just how much this sort of thing costs ?

Ah, I see. Yes professional photos will be much better then. If the OP can afford them.

"Its says on the publicity blurb that the best images are really the bigger ones"

Yes, I'm sure it does because they aren't going to say "you really only need a cheapy small one because it looks just as stunning without looking twattish on your wall"

SoupDragon that picture is amazing - I'd pay £100 for one of those for my kids any day. They'd last forever after all. A family hierloom if you like, to hand down.

It is Waterbabies and we are in the West Mids - its a national franchise I think.

I don't think the photos look twattish at all.

And even if they do, the kids are always so pleased to see photos of themselves on the walls, being the self-absorbed little devils most children are .

Oh have the picture and consider it your mothers day and birthday present rolled into one. Go on, you know you want to.

wow I just realised you posted your pic. Its lovely.

I have to say that I loved DS1's photos so much, I sought the company out to get DS2's done even though he hadn't done their lessons and then I tracked them down again for DD.

It was Waterbaby who did DDs - they were part of Little dippers

It is a rip off. We had our underwater photos done by a professional diver/photographer and the photoshoot was free and an 8 by 10 photo cost £16.
