Not being dressed at 3 in the afternoon?

I woke up at 11, lounged around a bit, tidied the playroom and am still not dressed and don't intend to get dressed until I go out at 7.

To be fair, every morning I am usually up at 6 (my little alarm clocks weren't here this morning ) and showered and dressed by 8. I don't have anyone here to worry about my stale sweat smell (apart from the window cleaners of course, but I would hope I didn't stink so much that they could smell me through a shut window )

Anyhoo, I am bathed, dressed and made up now ready to go out to a meeting.

I just didn't see the point in dressing this morning/afternoon. I'm working all weekend, so I will have to be up early again tomorrow.

nought wrong with a pj day! i am 6 months pg, love my pj & dressing gown more because it's the only 'outfit' that doesn't itch my super sensitive pregnant skin, bras & nickers dig in! Believe me when my baby comes i will be wearing pj's all the time!!!

squirdle good for you i say!

There is no need for people to cause a row on this website also! We are supposed to be supportive of each others gripes!

MarmadukeScarlet · 20/02/2009 19:00

Juicy, some posters could start a row in an empty room.

southeastastra · 20/02/2009 19:00

every morning i pass a girl in the local call box in her pyjamas at about 11am.

Juicygirlpink · 20/02/2009 19:03

maramduke- well said!

SnowlightMcKenzie · 20/02/2009 19:42

SOuth I thought your post said:

'Every morning I pass the local call girl in her pjs!'

lol

Oh right, this is one of those threads where you're only allowed to post if you want to join a general love in. Not actually a AIBU thread at all then.

As you were.

would be bliss in my world!

I did get dressed this morning, but then did lots of work in the garden and got all muddy, so came in and got in my pj's (was about 11am!)

I dont care!!!

justneedsomesleep · 20/02/2009 20:35

good on you!

Enjoy!
and soooooooooooooooo jealous of your free time!

we all have days like these and then other days when we have to be up and ready and out by 9.am

Squirdle · 21/02/2009 20:41

Blimey...relax a little georgimama! You don't have to agree with me...I really don't mind

It was a rare and unusual day for me yesterday. DH has taken the boys away and I had absolutely no responsibilites for a change. So I decided to take full advantage of that. So I am a slattern (along with lots of others on the thread )

Everyone is different.

And for what it's worth, I was up, showered, dressed and out of the house by 8.15 this morning for work and will be up early again tomorrow for the same reason (oh and the whole of next week for school/work)

It's fine to have a lazy day once in a while, probably does you good!

Trouble is though, the odd time I've lounged around in my pj's reading the paper or whatever, the doorbell tends to ring! Whether it's the postman or (unexpected visitors), I prefer to be dressed to answer the door! Normally it's unusual for anybody to turn up of a morning if we're not expecting them, but if I have a lazy day!, you can guarantee somebody will!

cannydoit · 22/02/2009 00:26

i havent got dressed today at all love to know that there is a day where i dont have to get dressed do my hair make up etc. my dh hates it though even though i do housework etc he thinks im being lazy. doesnt understand it. i dont understand how he just chucks on any old clothes he finds and hes ready. just different strokes for different folks and all that.

CuddlyKelpie · 22/02/2009 00:38

Not unreasonable at all.

I'm at work full time too so M to F I am up around 6. Come the weekend I often have stuff to do so if I get the chance to mooch around my house in pjs then I grab it with both hands. A change is as good as a holiday.

I hope you enjoyed your day!

MrsGokWan · 22/02/2009 00:49

We quite often have pj days

They are great fun and the DC's love spending the day in their pj's. We watch films, have popcorn, hot chocolate with marshmallows, take aways. Real slob days.

BitOfFun · 22/02/2009 02:00

Gosh, I do this loads! Some days I only get dressed if I actually have to be somewhere- but i don't care, Georgie
