I'm protecting DD from Dumbo for as long as possible

Too, too harrowing

Oh you've set me off again! I was just crying about Peepo from the lovliest book thread.
I am known for my weepiness though, I cry at NSPCC adverts,
when think of a book I used to have called Gingers adventures,
DH winds me up about the Titaic too, he only has to say " There'll be another ship along for the Daddies" and I'm a mess
YA definately NBU.

I've never seen Dumbo or Bambi. watched that clip though, and can see why i makes you cry. I've never been one to cry at movies but the evacuee scene in Narnia really chokes me up. All the mums hugging their children goodbye, sending them away, not knowing if they'll see them again... and the sad music. www.youtube.com/watch?v=txg_bYiRCyw&feature=related

Oh Lord, simply reading 'There'll be another ship along for the Daddies' has made me cry... think I'm allowed to be tired & emotional bf tiny DD at this hour though!

BalloonSlayer · 21/02/2009 07:29

Nearly?

  • hard as nails, you are.
TigersEnglandChick · 21/02/2009 07:55

I haven't watched Dumbo in years - not since I made a fool of myself blubbing over it when someone put it on at Sixth form college

I'd forgotten that was where 'baby of mine' comes from - I sing it to DD when she's sad. I love both the Bette Midler and the Alison Krauss versions of it.

Thunderduck · 21/02/2009 13:17

This made me cry today It's about 3 minutes long but certainly worth the watch. Turn your sound up.

jennifersofia · 21/02/2009 23:21

Oh alright, I did hold back a tear or two, and then went into the kitchen and pretended to be busy..
