they come on and you can just hear the 'sneering' tone in their post when they say "I am now pressing hide as it is just annoying me now".

I dont even open a post now to hide it - I sometimes just hide the top ten posts on the active board.

Anyway if you have posted on a thread it still appears in your list of posts that you are on!

I have done it, but only when it's about a subject I have been massively passionate or outnumbered in in another thread. It's more a kind of aknowledgement to other posters that I'm not going to get involved so don't worry

yeah I do sometimes just click hide so I suppose the times I don't I am making a statement, and even though I hide it I still sometimes go back in for another look just to see if anyone has really riled me enough to post
