They just called to say they won't be able to deliver tonight - it was booked for 7 - 9pm.

I don't feel like trekking out for milk, etc, and the next slot available is Thursday 5 - 7pm.

Surely they must have known that they wouldn't get the deliveries done earlier today?

YANBU!

Yesterday Tesco called me about an hour before my delivery was due. I had just come back from 2 weeks at MIL and had no food, baby suitable or otherwise in the house. I was then told to rearrange it via website, but to no avail, so I had to ring back and stay on hold for 15 mins.

I am very cross, firstly because they had all day to call and give me time to go out shopping, which I am not doing in the dark, it is far to cold to take DD out and we live in a small town where the gritters were a bit lax and it is icy!
Also because some of the special offers I ordered ended yesterday (booked date) and I have now had to pay normal price for them. Plus my delvery charge was 50p more (I know a whole 50p!)
And ALSO because I had no dog food and my darling pooch was starving! He may have had rice and chocolate drops for his dinner..

But they delivered today, and he was a very nice young man so it kind of made up for it!

As I would be the first to complain if anything went wrong with my delivery I feel it's only fair to give credit when it's due.
I ordered my shopping online from Tesco yesterday. It was due to be delivered between 12 and 2pm today. At 9.45 am I got a phonecall from Tesco to tell me they were experiencing problems because of the snow. They apologised and told me that they were still hopeful that they would be able to deliver today but it would most probably be late. He offered me an alternative delivery slot if this wasn't ok and, when i said it would be ok to deliver later today, he said the driver would ring me if there was any change. The driver did indeed ring to tell me that he had caught up and would hope to be on time.

STOP PRESS!!!!!! He just been.

So while I'm well aware they do sometimes get it wrong they also get it right too!!!!
