Buy it. Slovely.

BlueBumedFly · 31/01/2009 13:31

great jacket - he is a baby after all! Very sweet

MillyR · 31/01/2009 13:33

I wouldn't put a girl in it; I think it is too boyish. You could tell your dh that to convince him!

SoupDragon · 31/01/2009 13:34

I think it looks like a girl's coat but only because DD has a red coat with white stars on Hers is a girl's cut though.

nappyaddict · 31/01/2009 13:38

I think it's fine. It's not like it has hearts or flowers or fairies on it.

nappyaddict · 31/01/2009 13:49

similar one on ebay

JumpingDizzy · 31/01/2009 13:56

that one looks ok on ebay. £4 for postage is a bit steep IMO. Be useful for people with boys that age to watch it though.

ChippingIn · 31/01/2009 15:19

LOL - so there you go, lots of different opinions

Personally I wouldn't buy it for a boy, it does seem a bit girly to me, but the one on Ebay I would put on a boy (I wouldn't buy it because I don't like it - but that's not what you were asking )

troutpout · 31/01/2009 15:24

fine for a boy...have girls nicked red and stars now too?
Love that coat btw...would have got it for my boy

Umlellala · 31/01/2009 15:44

It's lovely (and have been coveting those rainbow trousers in my local children's booootique too ). Dd wore lots of 'boy's' clothes and ds wears lots of girl's things. Think he looks nice in pink n flowers n psychedelics

AliceTheCamelHasGotTheHump · 31/01/2009 16:55

I saw the ebay one when it was in Adams. It was a much brighter green than the photo suggests. I loved it and would definitely have bought it had ds been old enough for a coat. It was a really bright acid apple green with lovely bright stars.

spottyshoes · 31/01/2009 17:00

Nice. IMO the blue spotty is more girly!

mejon · 31/01/2009 18:14

Absolutely fine for a boy. It is a pretty unisex looking jacket to me. DD wears quite a lot of navy blue stuff as she looks gorgeous in it.

Wish you hadn't linked to that site though as I am now going to have to buy something !

tryingtobemarypoppins · 31/01/2009 19:15

If you thought that coat was expensive mums look at these!

No I won't be buying any.........sadly......

It is driving me mad the limited range of brights for baby boys! Sluge brown is not what childhood is all about!

OP posts:
oldraver · 31/01/2009 19:29

Its lovely, but it. I too hate the sludge brown that seems to be most of boys clothes after about 18 months. I love the Me Too and Marese range as they are lovely and bright

tryingtobemarypoppins · 31/01/2009 19:43

I love Me Too but find it hard to find much now he is 15 months. Any idea where to find more?

OP posts:
ja9 · 31/01/2009 19:50

Do you know... i'm not sure i would put that on a boy...

tryingtobemarypoppins · 31/01/2009 19:55

Which the red star coat or the yellow rain mac?

OP posts:
hellymelly · 31/01/2009 19:56

I think its really really cute, and to me it looks like a boys coat,I would think it a bit too boyish for my girls!

spottyshoes · 31/01/2009 19:57

Mee too clothes for 3-10yrs

curlygal · 31/01/2009 19:57

I think that is a lovely coat and I would dress DS in it.

DS' dad (who's my ex and hardly sees DS which makes it easier) had really set ideas about what boys clothes look like.

They have to be the following colours:
Blue, dark green, grey or brown.

Only the following motifs are acceptable:
Cars
Tractors
Trains

As I buy DS clothes I get all kinds of nasty comments about them.

I love stripes and DS has a lot of stripy stuff most of which is "too girly"

He has a lovely top from that website

tryingtobemarypoppins · 31/01/2009 19:58

thanks hellymelly.......might get the red star trousers too!

OP posts:
Lizzylou · 31/01/2009 19:58

I love it
Have two boys, would have put them in it too.
Buy it now, in a few years time he won't want to wear anything you put him in!

spottyshoes · 31/01/2009 19:59

Sorry, forgot he was 15mths...
9mths-3yrs

tryingtobemarypoppins · 31/01/2009 20:00

I LOVE the top curlygal! I can see why he is your ex........clearly a dull bloke!
