Ds2 is 16m and teething like mad...I know he is in pain but he just won't stop crying...well tbh it isn't the teething he is crying for it is because i have said no to him pulling the baby wipes out the packet. He has been awake since 6.15 this morning now is so tired and all he is doing is crying..... i sound awful i know but i need 10 minutes rest......

Can you put him in the car/pram sounds like he's overtired, poor you

DDraigoch33 · 30/01/2009 12:43

Take him for a warm bath,it may calm him down a wee bit and be a distraction for a while. It may make him a little sleepy too.Do you use Calpol to help with the pain?

PlumBumMum · 30/01/2009 12:44

I didn't mean put him in the car and leave him there

take him out to get him over to sleep, hope that made u smile

DDraigoch33 · 30/01/2009 12:48

I always recommend a warm bath when they're crying..works wonders for me too,all those bubbles and squeaky/squirty toys to play with and make a mess and not worry![type]

DDraigoch33 · 30/01/2009 12:48

I feel like such a crap mummy at the moment tbh. I can't put him in his cot in the bedroom as the flat i so long i can barely hear him so he is in a travel cot in living room which normally is ok as he nods off. But I didn't have a brilliant sleep last night and then ds2 was awake at 6.15, ds1 at 6.30, its then a case of getting ds2 ready to take ds1 to school which takes an hour and half, by the time i get home I want to sit for a bit have a coffee and chill out BUT I don't like to as I feel I am ignoring ds2 and I never did with ds1.

We've all been there, I have 3dcs and its hard but put him in the cot, he won't hurt himself go put kettle on then queitly go back and check on him, you'll hear him if he needs you!

Although I'm sure its school run time, make sure they both get a bath and bed early tonight

DDraigoch33 · 30/01/2009 13:43

....and relax with a glass of vino.Sounds like you deserve it!

cheesesarnie · 30/01/2009 13:46

plumbum(love the name)idea sound good.got to look after you.it wont hurt to sit in cot for 10 miuntes so long as he cant climb out.put some random(safe)object in like colinder.

TheLadyEvenstar · 30/01/2009 14:42

Hi sorry was away doing school runs, I know some people don't like giving meds but if he's really grumpy I would give him some calpol/nurofen, I'm sure your wrecked roll on bedtime, although you can relax alittle now its Friday

You can also get powders called teetha, ashtons seem to dissappear every now again

TheLadyEvenstar · 30/01/2009 15:56
