To be a bit fed up with Ebay!

Why do sellers always stretch the truth...bought a highchair on there, the seller claimed they were £110 new (the current version did), when we got it it was a model from about 10 years ago!

Then I bid for a float vest and the seller claimed it had "only been used once on their holiday"..failing to realise that I could see they had bought it the year before from someone else on Ebay, who had used it!

Today I got a girl's top which they claimed had cost £8..but they had left some of the sale ticket on and it was stamped with a big "S", so they obviously didn't pay the full £8.

Just makes me GGRRRR!!!

The negative would be for the rudeness, and the fact that I'll have to pay return postage with tracking, so his lie is going to leave me out of pocket. Asking me "do you really think I would sell a silk rug for 40 pounds?" is not acceptable. I was happy to accept it as an honest mistake but now he's been rude.

I was in TK Maxx today, and a woman virtually snatched a pair of salopettes from me as I was about to lift them from the rail. They were £6, reduced from £60.

The woman looks like she has never skiied a day in her life. I am convinced she was buying them to re-sell on e-bay.

I was astounded by how rude some people can be.

Shocked at the woman in TK Maxx. Rudeness like that always leaves me standing there opening and closing my mouth like a goldfish.

Lol at being able to tell whether someone has ever been skiing before. They could have been a present anyway.

I think people were rude in shops before Ebay came along .

Sigh... I used to sell on ebay quite a bit, but have no time now. (Probably could if I didn't spend so much time on MN though!! ).

But I was one of those that went overboard with descriptions and postage for every zone. But my things (magazines) were mainly bought by collectors and fans, but I also sometimes sold general books. Always got great reviews, especially for description and packaging .

Hmm, might dig some out and start listing again.....
