To expect male visitors to my house to put the seat down after they've had a wee?

This infuriates me (and evokes unwanted visions of them fishing out their penes).

I have had the builders in and they kept leaving the seat up!!!!!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Flibbertyjibbet · 25/01/2009 15:22

Just get one like my old one that won't stay up on its own

One male friend even started telling me about some bit that I could adjust so that it would stay up without him having to hold it. I asked him why on earth a single female would need a toilet seat that stays up?

I thought if anyone ever starts yelling that their willy got trapped by the toilet seat falling then I'd be VERY IMPRESSED

I have just remembered when my poor ds was about seven he went to his link carers for the weekend and link mummy rang up to warn me he would come back with a cut on the bridge of his nose....he had flung the loo seat up with such a flourish that it flew back down and whacked him on the nose! It took us ages to get him to put the seat up again!!

Poor little lad!

FIL leaves the door open as he pisses at our house. Then he leaves his dribbles all over the seat after he didn't bother to put up the seat at the start. Then he doesn't flush. If he shits he leaves the skid marks all over the pan.

My DH sits to wee and so do the 3 youngest DSs

Eldest DS pees everywhere though

moondog · 25/01/2009 17:12

Lazy, how utterly vile.
Does your stomach turn every time you see him?

moondog - i know its not on and tbh its really pissing off dh

think hes going to say something next time - if you really neeed to go then fair enought, but you clean up your mess

thing is most only live 5mins drive away so not if they cant pooin their own house

i said nick the loo roll!!

lazypainter - thats just foul!!!

Will306 · 25/01/2009 17:17

Every time a woman uses my loo I find that she has inconsiderately left the toilet seat down...Its so bloody annoying!
Its my toilet seat...I want it left up Goddammit!

pavlovthecat · 25/01/2009 17:20

YABU. They are men, and cannot expect to do something in your home they would not do in their home.

Very droll Will.

The absolute worst is stray pube on rim.

I agree it is gross but if they are allowed to do it in their house then I guess its not a big deal to them.
I have a worse problem in that some of the delivery men use my toilet at my shop and do a big stinker in it..eeewww gross. I know when you gotta go and all that but to me that is just bloody rude!!!

LazyLinePainterJane · 25/01/2009 19:04

moondog, of course it does. Sometimes I forget, then he gets up to go to the toilet and I remember. I was upstairs in the bedroom and heard someone go into the bathroom and start using the toilet. I thought it must have been DH (as surely you wouldn't do that in someone elses house with the bathroom door open?) but then remembered that dh is not vile.

BuwchBywiog · 25/01/2009 20:17

I don't mind if DP leaves seat up as I kind of take the attitude that he has to lift it up so it won't kill me if I have to put it down! Although we do tend to put the seat and cover down these days as DD is in cruising stage and tries to use pan to get up if we turn our back annoys me if anyone else does it though! I hate having to clean my loo after visitors use it - freaks me out a bit!

loobeylou · 25/01/2009 20:59

don't know whether to boak or ROFL at some of these

we had blokes in to concrete our drive when we had to have the drains mended - I went out to offer them a cuppa and caught one of them peeing up the wall between house and garage

gross!

If it's just the seat you are in luck. FIL leaves piss everywhere. The joy of a dodgy prostate and having cataracts. Dh has been told it's his job to clean up after any male visitors.

Immediate family wee is okay.

twentypence · 26/01/2009 05:36

No the worst is a pube stuck to a little pool of wee on the rim.
