to bit sooo anoyed with MIL , that i could easily say stay away forever???

told MIL that we are PG with DC4,and we are very excited about it,she wont answer our calls or messages
what effect does this have on her life?
she never gets asked to baby sit and see's them once a week for 30 mins
what would you do?? DH wont let me do what i would like

I have a similar story my partner is 34 I am 27 and 2 and a half years ago after being together for 3 years we found out we were expecting a much wanted first child- my parents were thrilled but my partners mother told him she was disgusted with him and put the phone down baring in mind she is in her 70's and this would have been her first grandchild naturally we were upset by her reaction.
Then we found out I were having a ectopic pregnancy which resulted in me having a 2 day hospital stay and surgery. During this time we had no contact with her or my partners dad until I came out of hospital to a phonecall from her being really happy and not mentioning the pregnancy or asking how I was!!!

Luckily I conceived again 2 months after, we proceeded to tell his mother who didnt say alot but wasnt as negative as last time.

Anyway the pregnancy proceeded well and after a few visits from them and when I was six months pregnant- My partners dad took me to one side and asked why there were pregnancy books and a pregnancy countdown in the living room- When I laughed and said its because I am pregnant he was very shocked as his own wife did not tell him!!!

Since my son has been born she plays the doting Gran but I am not convinced.

Please dont let her get to you- then she has won- the ball is in your court and she knows this.

Behave politely and have as little to do with her as possible I reckon!
