Would keep it too - the liability is with Royal Mail - 10 weeks!!!! Seller not out of pocket either so just let it go.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 19/01/2009 15:53

Personally I'd just let it go, but if the 'theft is theft' brigade turn up, then you will be flamed.

mumto2andnomore · 19/01/2009 15:55

I would e mail the seller and tell them it has fnally turned up, they might well say just keep it but at least you will have a clear conscience.

you didn't intend to steal!!! i'd just let it go too.

loobeylou · 19/01/2009 16:29

I think you def need to tell the seller it arrived, you could even ask if they will reimburse you returning it to them, they will most likely say keep it, as they have been refunded. Just in case they ever found out and thought you had it all along.

countingto10 · 19/01/2009 16:30

Technically it belongs to the Royal Mail (or their insurers) but I'm sure they won't want it (probably cost more in admin to process it )

I'd keep it without feeling guilty.

MadMarg · 19/01/2009 16:33

Well that happened to my DH, and he paid his ebay seller when the item arrived. However, that was a one off item that cannot be replicated, not a CD that could be bought anywhere.

Also, the seller doesnt' get back the postage price, so he doesn't get a complete refund from Royal Mail, you know.

petrovia · 19/01/2009 16:33

I think that's fair considering they took ten blardy weeks to deliver it - you had every right to consider it lost.

petrovia · 19/01/2009 16:34

I mean fair on RM - tell the seller though and make sure they were covered by the compensation.

No they should have got an arbitrary sum from RM - it might have been less or more than what they claimed, you just never know.
