to put a small notice on my door saying "Newborn baby in house. Sales/Surveys etc please don't ring/knock"

I don't technically have a newborn in the house, he's 10 weeks old

AND he'd sleep through a brass band marching through the house playing at full volume

I just get fecked off with the door going when I'm sat feeding him! I always go answer it in case its a friend/delivery or something and I feel so annoyed when its some twat "oh hello I'm doing a survey on..."

fuck off!

Would IBU to put said notice on door?

I used to put a note on my door asking people to not knock as mum & new baby sleeping. This stayed on my door for about 3 years

Why not? I hate it when people call round unannounced!

Hey MamaG, glad to hear you're ok again!

MWAH!!

SpookyMadMummy · 17/01/2009 18:00

I did this when I worked nights and DH worked days.
It worked a treat
I would do it again.

Childminder here too. I have a notice I put on the front door at nap times saying:

'Please do not knock, babies sleeping but dog isn't!'

If it is a friend/parent they will ring my mobile and tell me
