AIBU to get a take away tonight and not cook, I cant be bothered to cook. I probably will end up doing something though, but I could really go for a KFC

Do you think if I tell DH I am craving KFC cos I am PG he will buy it (I really am pg BTW)

Mmmm...KFC. I love the hot wings, but as we live out in the arse end of nowhere, our nearest KFC is 40 mins away, so no takeaway for us.

Don't think I could bring myself to eat the corn on the cob after that Gavin and Stacey episode anyway...

Tonight Bloke is cooking, and it is a surprise [hmmm]. He is currently at Waitrose getting his ingredients, so I am torn between excitement and trepidation. (He is not great in the kitchen, but his new year resolution is to make something from a new recipe once a week.)

had one of those fab £10 M and S meal deals last night - gorgeous. Hot chocolate pudding SSOOOOOOOOOOOO fattening but who cares !

Haribolicious · 16/01/2009 17:34

I heart KFC!! You deserve take-out whatever you go for - enjoy!

Does it not bug you though Dusty?

If my dh is in the mood for take-away, I always say yes ok but when I want it he is never in the mood and then pathetically whimpers about making tea himself out the freezer. God it hacks me off and I am not even pg.

What did you have in the end?

DustyTv · 17/01/2009 09:10

I had some toast and a yogurt in the end lol.

Fimbo it does hack me off a bit but I'm not really that bothered TBH.

I don't think I was really that hungry anyway, but just couldn't be bothered to cook for DH and DD. DH wont eat what DD does as it is too healthy lol. So unless he has what DD and I have he usually cooks for himself.

I was just in a mega lazy mood and had had a bad day anyway so all I wanted to do was chill out and not have to worry about what to feed everyone lol.

I have recently reinstated Mum's Night Off. Why should I plan, shop and cook 7 days a week? If i was doing it in a restaurant I am sure the European Working Directive Police would have something to say about it.

So Saturday night i am not even thinking about food. If someone wants to cook they can, if not we can all scavange. Bah Humbug.

DustyTv · 17/01/2009 09:45

lol at scavenge

Mums night off sounds good. DD is too young to scavenge though, but she is easy to please with pasta or something equally as easy.

Have a KFC, it's terrible for chickens and not very good for you...but a pg woman's got to do what a pg woman's got to do. I never have the stuff but did, on two occasions, when I was pg!
