If it was MUMSROCK, it's not like MN at all really. It's more like the on-line parenting pages from a newspaper. Articles written and then comments made at the bottom.

Doodle2U · 11/01/2009 11:10

JL did have a fair bit of Lego before Christmas, Pan. Dunno what they've got in now though. TRU in Stockport had a huge wall full of the stuff but TRU is not a shop I visit unless a gun is to my head!

Morning Cornsilk. Coffee soon?

cornsilk · 11/01/2009 11:10

Toys R us always have lego in. The Warrington one near Ikea has a better selection. The Lego website is the best place though - would she wait? Not sure how long delivery would be.

PuzzleRocks · 11/01/2009 11:11

Not my cup of tea. Trying too hard methinks.

cornsilk · 11/01/2009 11:11

Hi doodle - yes definitely!

yama · 11/01/2009 11:11

Just had a wee look. The shopping bit looks like it might be interesting. Links to ethical sites etc.

Don't see much in the way of a talk forum though.

cantpickyourfamily · 11/01/2009 11:14

I saw your thread and wanted to have a look... i thought it must have been something really bad that you were posting about as it had been deleted...

hifi · 11/01/2009 11:16

Did MNHQ say that Hifi?

hifi · 11/01/2009 11:20

cornsilk · 11/01/2009 11:23

Blimey! I'm quite surprised about that. I only know about sites such as netmums, bounty, that Times one (alpha mum?) 'cos I read things on here.

cornsilk · 11/01/2009 11:23

Not that I look at them - spend far too much time on here as it is!

Pan · 11/01/2009 11:30

just phoned JL and Toys R Us, and no lego other than Star Wars and Indiana Jones themes, which dd has nooo time for. Christmas has taken it's toll and there is a national shortage of lego!!

Right. ON line it is then. Will go to main website and our Amazonian friends.

hifi - try casually mentioning "monstertrucksforrealmen.com".....

cornsilk · 11/01/2009 11:33

Lego website is the absolute holy grail Pan.
I wouldn't have had you down as a trucker!

Pan · 11/01/2009 11:34

only on requests.

cornsilk · 11/01/2009 11:34
Wink
Pan · 11/01/2009 11:54

yay! numerous phone calls and a couple of web-visits later, and they have a good supply at TRU, Stockport. >

if my girl wants lego, she gets lego.
