There are choc eggs all over the place in my local Tesco Express (hideous place). I commented to the girl on the till: 'Gosh, is it Easter already?' and she said they'd put them on the shelves on Boxing Day

Hot Cross Buns are sold all year round in a lot of places.

I was a bit at the prominent display of Cadbury's Creme Eggs in Asda today.

I've had that marmalade hot cross bun custard thing, it was in a Jamie Oliver Sainsbo advert, it was lucious!

I very nearly posted an AIBU on nearly this today. I love hot cross buns BUT, I picked up a packet of taste the difference ones from Sainsbury's yesterday. Sliced one in half this morning & popped it in the toaster. When I took it out, my hand was suddendly covered with oozing burning hot chocolate. WTF??? These were chocholate hot cross buns . And there was a little note on the packet informing me that they were not suitable for the farking toaster.

I mean, when I buy hot cross buns I expect currants. I want to be able to spread the bun with copious amounts of butter. You cannot do this with what is effectively a pain au chocolat
