God I am so fucking annoyed. Are people really so STUPID?

The kids got this game for christmas, a board game with like a massive maze thing that sits on top of it make out of plastic, cardboard and various other CRAP. Anyway I have just spend the past HOUR trying to put the stupid thing together. WHAT IS THE POINT IN MAKING GAMES SO FAFFY AND DIFFICULT TO PUT TOGETHER?!?

Half of the bits didn't even fit properly, the instructions were shit with crappy black and white pictures that you couldn't even see and the game is for 5 and upwards?? I'm sorry but no 5 year old would be able to put this idiotic thing together, NOR would they have the patience to sit and wait while some mug adult assembled it!

AND after all that, it still isn't put together because the instructions DO NOT MAKE SENSE.

God I'm so angry I could actually scream.

don't buy "guess who" the game where you have to put plastic flaps into a baord and then you have to fiddly slide in cards with the various faces. and you have to make sure that both players have the same faces.

Hardest thing I've done since biology degree. AND you have to take it all apart again to get it back in to the box.

like OP says, madness. I could have put together a set of bookshelves with those valuable hours!

Eh? whats wrong with moustrap? You put it together one piece at a time while you play -no one sitting around for hours.

It was what the cool kids used to bring on 'toy day' when I was in juniors... I always lusted after it. So lovely and Heath-Robinson-ish. The only bit thats hard to get right is the - aptly named - Thingumajig.

True you should never put the basket on top of the pole till theres a mouse waiting to be caught, but it usually works fine for me. I mean us.

Goes back into box easily.

Worst thing I got was lovely book to make Apple Tree Farm - you know, those lovely Usborne Farmyard tales. Cut all the bits out, slots, glue... end up with large unstorable cardboard thing which has only been played with a couple of times and now
lies gathering dust atop DDs wardrobe. I'm sure she'd be gutted if I binned it though, and its not the sort of thing you can even give to charity!

The similar Dinosaurs book is sitting unmade several years later

We have a sainsburys Guess Who, and - apart from fiddly first time set-up - it goes in and out of box intact and easily.

I feel your pain Grimma - DS1 was once given a book that opens up into a town scene (with many many fiddly bits) and a wind up train drives through it BUT once up i'll be buggered if i could get it to ever lie flat again.

He's now 7 and only possesses the train!
