she asks "if there was one thing you could change about me what would it be?"

i reply "nothing" of course.i'm not an idiot i know what's happening and i aint falling for it.

she goes "no seriously, what would it be.if i could change something about you it would be x"

so now i think i'm in the clear se's said something so she can't get mad. so go " fair enough i'd change Y"

se gets upset.apparently hers was constructive, mine was just mean.

so how do you women do it?i could see the set up coming a mile away.i thought i was well prepared.thought i was in the clear.and yet i still fell for it.

mayorquimby, you have really made me laugh and brightened my day - as have all the responses. Have actually shared this link with my DH - all in the purposes of enlightenment of course !

beanieb · 06/01/2009 16:17

so out of all the things you could change you chose two hairs on her face. Something physical?!

are you bonkers?

BlueSapphire77 · 06/01/2009 16:17

Omg so nice to read something not a problem and not depressing
Well for us anyway

You mean, she asked you THAT question, your mouth moved and words came out?

CVery funny thread

mayorquimby · 06/01/2009 16:29

"i hate to say this-women everywhere please forgive me-but is she having her period?[wince] "

haha i'm glad you sad it and not me because the mners would probably rip my head off.that was nearly my follow up question but caught myself half way through and just stopped talking ad let the silence of a half finished "what's the problem are ....." hng in the air,see at least i'd learned from my first mistake. apparently she'd had a bad day at work and took it out on me. then cooked me steak and potato wedges to say sorry so it all turned out good in the end.

mazzystartled · 06/01/2009 16:40

imo

she just wanted to start a fight.

claw3 · 06/01/2009 16:42

LOL mentioning black shoulder hair and periods in the same conversation, you wouldnt be here now to share this funny story with us

mayorquimbyswife · 06/01/2009 16:44

my husband KNOWS how sensitive i am about my shoulder hair. I was very hurt by his comment. why can't body hair be sexy and attractive?

and anyway-his beard is terrible-like the man from the twits.

LongTallSallly · 06/01/2009 16:44

lol

Next time (because there will be a next time:

a) say "The only thing I'd change about you is not to have you ask me what I'd change about you. Ever. Again."
b) make sure you put a blob of Veet on her hairy haunches the night before, as she sleeps.

Do hope this helps.
