to not want to read another toddler book after having spent the last 3 hrs doing so..

I know I probably am being but for gods sake dd2 is on a mission to get through every book in the house but keeps bringing the toddler books to me which are lovely in short bursts but after so long are making me want to pull my hair out...how many different colour/number/letter books can we read

oh now that would be worse..i remember ds being like that about dig dig digging, he could even recite it word perfectly but still insisted on reading it 300 times a day

Yep

Though I do find it useful being able to read and watch TV at the same time (bad, inattentive parent )
