you'd think he'd been at the Somme. He is groaning and saying 'jesus!' every few minutes......

honestly.... can you imagine if they had the babies... ?

They would only ever have one and we would be made to be thier women servants and bow down and worship to their amazingly superior birthing skills...

ipanemagirl · 01/01/2009 23:59

manflu

soapbox · 02/01/2009 00:02

I have to say that I have some sympathy with your DH - I'm just coming out of the worst of a 3 week bout of the cold/flu and only because I got some anti-bs. I would gladly have given birth again twice over than have had this bug!

moondog · 02/01/2009 00:05

lol at Somme comments.
I really go off dh when he is ill.It is the slumped shpoulders and pained look across his visage that make me want to boot him up the arse.

Once he was medi-Vaced out of Turkey with bad back.I cam soooooo bloody close t oleaving him, he was that irritationg.

Reminds me of my hubbs....

After an eight hour labour with just gas and air, our 10lb 2oz daughter was born. I had a 3rd degree tear, and had to be taken to theatre to have over 30 stitches put in. When they brought me back he said, and this is a classic...

'love i'm going to have to go.. i'm knackered...'

men, eh?

ipanemagirl · 02/01/2009 00:21

I know, I know.

Dp and I both had it. I struggled on throughout it all in the run up to Xmas with 3 dc 5,5 and 4.

Dp had a week off work some of which he spent in bed, obviously groaning throughout.Apparantly I didn't have it as bad-oh yes I bloody did .

During this week off I was treated to a blow by blow account of all his symptoms during which I was longing to just scream I don't care, I don't care, I DON"T CARE!!!!!!!!!!

Demented made me laugh,my dp was the same. After 7 years of IVF,invasive surgery, severe morning sickness and all the trials and tribulations of carrying twins,a c section and a night on a busy ward trying to bf said twins whilst in agony I had the same comment the following day!!!!!!!!!

ipanemagirl · 03/01/2009 16:47

MilaMae, it beggars belief!!!! LOL LOL LOL!!! With horror and amazement!

I symapthize with your DH too. I have had the worst bug (in the world ever) for 2 weeks and now have sinisitis! I have been in tears frequently.

MadameCheese · 03/01/2009 16:59

My DH gets a "flu thing". It's not bloody flu, you wouldn't be able to get out of bed!!!! And what is "a touch of the flu"? LOL at Dee!

ipanemagirl · 03/01/2009 19:14

I'VE got dh's cold now..... I feel miserable and tearful and desperately sorry for myself.

But I have not yet abandoned all human activity! I did lie down for an hour though....
