dh thinks boxes get in the way and s for England if they are not ripped up and put in the recycling IMMEDIATELY.

We had the most pathetic row today with him standing over our new kettle letting it boil ONCE to prove it works before throwing its box away after I told him to keep it for a bit

Yes mine go in the loft then get chucked whrn the guarentee runs out. Its easier to return with the box and some places ie Sainsburys (grrr) get really pissy without the box

oldraver, very organised. Do you have some system for alerting you to when a guarantee expires whereupon you go into the loft to retrieve the box to chuck out?

I would love to be as organised as to keep the box but I suspect the box will just breed with other boxes in the loft and slowly barricade themselves in until it is time to move house.
