Why should I give my staff the day off tomorrow? Surly he should be at work? I'm fuming!

I'm so angry, I have an employee who has just asked me if he can take the day off tomorrow, no warning whatsoever. How dare he want to spend the day with his wife and dc. What am I to do now? Should I close the office? I don't care if Cratchet has a family, he should be working to support them right? I'm working so hard since my partner, Marley, died last year. Cratchet is supposto be helping me. It's rediculous. I've said I won't pay him but I keep thinking of all the work he could have done tomorrow. I think I should sack him.

You are quite right. And I bet that lazy son of his is just pretending. I'm sure I saw him running the other day!

I thought as much. He should be up a chimney, working for his keep. It's rediculous!

Oh I know how you feel. I'm just about ready to jump off a bridge because of my idiot employee uncle whose lost our Entire christmas takings! No one around town appreciates me, even though most of them only have their homes cos of me. My bloody DB is off somewhere saving aircraft carriers or something and I haven't shaved in weeks...Bloody christmas.

Hah, if he does come into work don't light the fire!

IPityTheFool · 24/12/2008 14:57

Them Cratchets will be living the high life on their DLA you know.

I do hope you don't pay this Cratchet chap too much.

scrooged · 24/12/2008 14:57

Fire? What fire? One piece of coal only lasts for a short while. I did give him an old pair of gloves last year, he did snivel a bit when I docked his wages to pay for them though but he got over it.
