It is insensitive to moan about how much you have if you know most of your audience is struggling. Tactless, even if not meant to offend.

But as you're serious about this post, I would (again) recommend giving it to those less fortunate or to children in the hospital - it is rubbish being in hospital over Christmas, so this might cheer up their day.

And if you are worried about whether or not your friends will wonder where everything went, it really is quite common (as in happens regularly ) for really rich parents (aka Richard Branson etc) to let their children choose one present and give the rest away. It teaches them to appreciate things.
