Or at least a fancy dress party?
Going out dressed as slutty santas and playboy bunnies and police women etc does NOT make you look cool and fun and funky.
You look like a twat.

Oh you mean going out in fancy dress for no reason? Oh I agree that's a bit odd. There are lots of beggars out in Santa costumes on the streets of Paris right now though - that's OK.

I enjoyed dressing up as a pirate at my DS1's school. It was great fun. We all thought we'd done well until one dad arrived in such a good get up it took me ten minutes to work out who it was.

But grown-up fancy dress parties are mostly very odd indeed.
