So I am waiting outside the y1 class ,watching a little boy hitting a few of the LO's and dragging a toddler along the floor with hie hood while the toddlers mum is trying to stop him and pull him off all this time the boys mother is sat watching him and letting him get on with it (as she does every morning) .
Anyway a few minutes later the boys mum is screaming at a little girl (who had walked down alone so no mum to defend her) because she had called her son Shaun the sheep .
She ranted on for about 2 minutes until one of the dads took the little girl out of her way and said "It makes a change for someone to be picking on your son " and then showed her hos lo's arm which had a massive bitemark on that had been done by her son yesterday.

So she started screaming and ranting again and tried to grab the little girl and pull her to the HT office the little girl was by this stage crying and I just took her hand and took her into class early with this madwoman following behind screaming that she had called her son shaun the sheep!!!!

She did go OTT didn't she ,she could have just said "Please don't call him that ,its not nice ", instead of scaring a 5 year old .

That's awful! Did the teacher witness it?

ComeWhineWithMe · 18/12/2008 10:08

Thank God for that ,if she had hurt her son I could have understood it more but we were all stood there she was just saying "shaun the sheep" and I don't even think it was that malicious ,she had just made the connection between his name and the tv programme .

Barmy woman!

I think actually I would have gone to the office with the little girl and got the school to deal with it.

KatieDD · 18/12/2008 10:10

Tell the headteacher, she'll be charged with assult if she lays a finger on another child, she needs to be made aware of that.

ComeWhineWithMe · 18/12/2008 10:11

Well no staff ,were around the doors which are usually open were closed because the staff are planning a surprise for the LO's this afternoon.

But I am sure there will be about 10 parents complaining ,I took her in and quickly told her she was needed but the dad who had confronted the mum was following as was the boys mum who was ranting her head off .

I couldn't hang around because my dd was with me who is ill needed to go home .

She sounds awful. Did her little boy actually mind being called Shaun the Sheep? Did he cry?

Good for you sticking up for the little girl.

ComeWhineWithMe · 18/12/2008 10:22

He cried when his Mum pulled him onto her knee and said "don't cry" .

Well, that's where the little boy has learned his behaviour. Family needs help, clearly.

Anything to report back CWWM ?
I've had a similar incident happen to my DD today so would be interested in hearing how the school dealt with this ?
Thanks
