I can't STAND it.

I would ask the user of the phrase do they sometimes travel backwards in time? Do they carry out projects in the past?

If they're not some Dr Who Timelord type, then they're using a totally redundant phrase and should be kicked in the grollies (if they have any).

But not as much as when people use the phrase "sit down" to mean "have a meeting" e.g. "will we be sitting down today?" Yes I think you will or you back will hurt, you moron.

Its catching in my office - people are saying it more and more. I confidentally predict that - going forward - they'll be using it when suggesting a cup of tea in a minute might be a good idea.

Someone used workshop as a verb the other day as in "we can workshop that". Yuk.

My mum got a letter from the Department of Work and Pensions today with the sub-title "Your Pension Going Forward". I wanted to throttle someone. Her pension isn't going forward. It isn't going anywhere. What they mean is "Your Future Pension Payments" or something like that!!

That "journey" business is one of the main reasons I hate X factor. It's all about the "journey" - well it should blooming well be about the singing.
