BlueBumedFly · 18/12/2008 20:55

Ahhhhh! DH finds the whole MoonCup thing most odd and now sings 'MoonCup' to the 'MoonPig' tune - ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I am also ready to scream at my neighbour's son who is playing the drums REALLY BADLY right now.... ahhhhhhhh

reindeercantdancethetango · 18/12/2008 21:04

the cilit bang one with the daft sounding woman "just look at these taps...clean as a whistle" as if her biggest worry in life is the taps

TinselBaublesMistletoe · 19/12/2008 09:50

What's the advert where the woman (always a woman cleaning the home, 1950s style family) has a perfect home but a toilet that can't have been cleaned for a year?

jumpingbeans · 19/12/2008 09:59

I want to smack the knob in the Beechams army ad right in his knobby, twatty face, the one where he's fighting off the three armies

psychohohohoho · 19/12/2008 10:14

@ barcode zebra.....did that rant help

OP posts:
mustsleep · 19/12/2008 10:15

have you seen the barnardos one on late at night

the girl gets smacked around the head
she can't read at school

so of course she becomes a heroin addict

that and the new cut open dog coke one

nice during your fave xmas movie

TisTheSeasonToBeSolo · 19/12/2008 10:18

Moonpig is a terrible ad that burrows into your mind and bloody well stays there all day! I hate it too!

mustsleep · 19/12/2008 10:20

i hate the petit filut ones surely they could find some english speaking kids instead of dubbing it

snowleopard · 19/12/2008 10:21

Oh i quite like Beecham's Man!

But the other day I saw that TWATTISH new perfume one with Ewan Macgregor - awful. "I had such an amazing adventure... adventure by Hugo Boss (or whoever it is)" and a pic of him on his travels with a bottle of aftershave!

Every time I see all this stuff about his interminable oh-so-manly motorbike adventures I think "hmmm, I wonder what your wife and kids think about it all" And as if he took perfume with him...! Pshaw!

snowleopard · 19/12/2008 10:23

I'm warming to my theme one - have you seen the excruciating M&S xmas food one narrated by Parky? He sounds as if he can hardly stay awake... but also it's all about how he wants trad xmas food but "Mary" wants all these jazzy alternatives provided by M&S. She apparently wants a smoked salmon mousse with mustardy sauce filling, which DP says looks like a giant boil.

StretchmarkSantaClaws · 19/12/2008 10:23

What about Safestyle windows,

"ya buy one, ya get one free!" "Call Safestyle Windows NOW!"

psychohohohoho · 19/12/2008 10:25

if we are gonna talk dubbed ads.......what about the kando wipes one with the little boy sat on the loo with his trousers round his ankle.......

bad bad bad advertising people!!!

PartOfTheHumphreysGroup · 19/12/2008 10:25

Ooh the one that gets me is for the stuff to get rid of invisible stains in the toilet!! I think it's harpic power gel or something. They actually have to use a 'revealer' to find the stains in the first place!! Hellooo??!! Why would I care about invisible stains!! Aagh!

Anyone want to buy some unicorn repellent?

TisTheSeasonToBeSolo · 19/12/2008 10:26

Frubes!!! that noise arghhhhhhhhh!

StretchmarkSantaClaws · 19/12/2008 10:26

PMSL!!

snowleopard · 19/12/2008 10:26

Unicorn repellent - brilliant

PortlySackSantaInAdvent · 19/12/2008 10:27

Oooh yes the Safestyle scary 'clown without his make up on' man.

The Suggs one trying to get kids NOT to eat Broccoli (wtf).

Any perfume advert - it's just nice smelly.

And the guys voice on the 'Peugoet, the drive of your life' advert.

And the guy on BBC Radio advert that say 'on digital' in the style of the younger steptoe - drives me nuts!

TinselBaublesMistletoe · 19/12/2008 10:47

I didn't mind Safestyle when it was the guy who used to be in Corrie, but the new guy is trying to be him and it makes it look fake - which of course it is, it's an advert.

That reminds me, I knew I'd left something out of my last post. You know a woman who keeps her house that clean wouldn't have left her toilet for a year, so it shows up the advert. Of course we know it's all acting but I'm less likely to believe an ad when it's so unrealistic. It's like the beauty products ad "Model is wearing false eye lashes/ hair extensions/ whatever" so if that's the effect you're trying to tell me they have but you have to use fakes, why should I believe you or buy it?

mustsleep · 19/12/2008 10:52

the morrybogs ones with the celebs f off you dont shop at morrisons with all the old dears

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 19/12/2008 10:55

Ronan Keating in his glowing white living room playing on a console as a family.

mustsleep · 19/12/2008 10:56

i know of course celebs can afford to buy six ds 's at once so they can all play togther lol

snowleopard · 19/12/2008 10:56

I feel the same about any hair colour ones - with Davina McCall, Beyonce, Andie Macdowell etc. "First greys - don't stand a chance!" oh as if you buy a £5.99 hair colour from Boots and faff around in your bathroom with your head upside down, instead of paying £200 for subtle highlights at Daniel Galvin.
