To start on the baileys this early

i have had such a crappy night, ds1 has been coughing, crying, has headache and temp - no sleep had there, while ds2 was clinging to my nipples all night and would not let go.

Nobody slept and I am also a mad woman as eviodent on my other thread. So I think it would be utterly reasonable to have some baileys for breakfast. Considering I already had three digestive biscuits and a chicken sandwich from tescos.

Anyone else?

Btw i rang school to say he is ill and they said, what a pity, it's the christmas play!' like I didn't know, and 'He's probably overtired, bring him in later if he feels better'

Yes, he has been crying all night asking me to turn the sun back on, shivering and heating up the bed nicely for the rest of us. Definitely just tired...

maybe not

Ronaldinhio · 11/12/2008 08:48

Normally I'd always join you but what about an episode of the night garden and some calpol for DS1, a little lie down for Ds2 and a nice cuppa for you instead?

santasinmywaistband · 11/12/2008 08:48

The mood my 4 year old is in I would be tempted, but will be strong and wait til at least I have finished work at lunchtime{fsmile]

dinny · 11/12/2008 08:51

noooooooo

crazyloon1 · 11/12/2008 08:52

Yes I shan't really. I never, ever drink and only got it on a whim last week for christmas.
It would go right to my head today. Have had tea instead but Gawd, getting calpol down ds1 is just impossible.

You sound like you are having a shite day. Do you have a medicine syringe? I used to squirt medicine into the back of the DC's mouth. When dd was a baby a dr told me to blow on her face as they have a swallowing reflex when you do that. Don't know if it still works.

Have a cup of tea and another biscuit

crazyloon1 · 11/12/2008 08:59

thanks MmeLindt.

Yes I think I am not quite here yet, I am stuck in last night! Zzzzzzz

Poor you - sounds yucky. Have you tried Nurofen for children? My DS hates Calpol but loves Nurofen - the orange one. Also Tixylix cough and cold is good.

My teeth are itching at the thought of 13 After Eights!!!

pamelat · 11/12/2008 09:34

Can the 3 of you climb back in to bed and snuggle together all day?

crazyloon1 · 11/12/2008 10:30

oh thankyou, Pamela he is on sofa and seems much better, we are all watching nightmare before Chrstmas

Buda - I will definitely, definitely try those two then. Have been trying to get cuprofen down him and no luck with that either...there must be something he will swallow! He was encouraged at the idea of swallowing a grown up paracetamol but couldnt master it.

Thankyou all for your help (especially the after 8s)
