to feel uncomfortable about DD's photo being used on SIL's website?

My SIL is a photographer, just getting started with her own business. She took lovely photos of our wedding, and I would like to support her with her venture.

However, it was mentioned that she's putting together a portfolio and wants to include some of DD's photos (which will also appear on her website).

I want to be OK with it, but the fact that her picture will be available to the world makes me feel uncomfortable. DH is fine with it, but I said 'if a tramp walked up to you on the street and asked for a photo of DD what would you say?'... He could see my point.

I don't think it would harm DD in the slightest (and we can all guess what goes on with pics available on the internet), but I don't want the world to have unrestricted access to my baby's photograph. (I'm fine with her using our wedding pics by the way).

Thoughts please?

Well she didn't actually ask - my DH emailed some mutual friends whilst he was with his family yesterday (I wasn't there) asking if they wanted a free photo shoot for their kids. He told me this when I went to collect him, and it then transpired that it was for a portfolio and for a website, and that SIL was going to use pics of DD. I just said I wanted to think about it.

I have no problem with a portfolio that would be shown to prospective clients. It's just the website that makes me feel a bit uncomfortable, but I'm just working through in my own head what to do.

gorione that is actually what I said!

'I think it's not unreasonable, you are entitled to your opinion and she is your daughter after all.'
