to think i'd still be able to get a slot for christmas food delievery!!

Just tried to book a slot with then tesco's to deliever before just before christmas but they have none left. Dito with Asda!!!
I'm now going to have to face the dread christmas shop OMG!!
Can't believe all the slots have gone already!!

i just got a new chest freezer delivered today. i have to go round and stock up like crazy tomorrow before all the half decent stuff is gone.already noticed yesterday tesco running low on certain xmas "musts"

just ordered my turkey on fri. cor i was lucky there was still some left.

I booked my Waitrose slot 3 weeks ago.
They emailed to say "book now, slots going fast" and I thought, "oh, really" then logged on and found they were right, only 3 possible slots on 22nd, everything after that booked!!!!
I grabbed a slot and created an order of complete randomness, next week I'll edit the order to things I actually want.

But it was unbelievable that the slots were booked that far ahead!!!!!

Blimey really?? I had a vague idea I might be leaving it a bit late. Oh well, that's that idea up the swanee then.

But then again when I did trust Tesco with it one year they only sent half the stuff I oredered and I still had to hit the shops

Can't you order all the drinks/cans/crisps/nuts etc for the next availiable slot (all the things that won't go off in a week I mean) for delivery so you just need to get the perishable things?
