my 13 yrold dd2 has pink hair , its semi perment over her natural blonde , done as undercolour and streaks in her fringe, bright neon pink!she loves it, her friends at school have it done too. ive been told im a bad mother because of it,by a "freind" ,i might ask. dd2 is a very good girl, does great at school and is always helpful and kind to her siblings, why does "pink hair" "make her look like a slut" -quote"friend", i wanted to k.o said friend by the way , is she right?

I think it's so silly that schools get to dictate hair colour (and I say this as a secondary teacher). How on earth does hair colour affect performance in school? As a teacher, I have had black hair, purple hair, red hair - it hasn't affected my teaching and it wouldn't affect pupil learning.

Your friend is being ridiculous.

Oooh I wasn't even allowed to dye my hair blonde (I am mousy) while living under my mothers roof! You are a lovely mum, your ex friend is horrid!

Without seeing it I can't see how it's possible to comment. Personally I think it is much too young, but then I worry that my very tall dd (now only 8) will look much older than her age (already she is mistaken for a 10 year old), and so anything that encourages that (make up, hair style etc) I'm going to be quite firm on. I had my wild hair days (and everything else) at uni - personally I think there is plenty of time for children to go wild, and no need to rush into adulthood prematurely.

my dd would get sent home from school, BUT if school allow it, no harm at all.
Friend needs to shut it, would definately bin said friend for that nasty comment.
