...buy things I want from a pawn shop like a wii or nintendo. My dh is quite happy to do this but I balk at the thought. Aware I am a bit nuts

All the junkies I know stick stuff in pawnbrokers. Mostly they've nicked the stuff and can't fence it. They've no intention of coming back for it.
