Nope I'm not pregnant, I have an adorable (high maintenance) 11 month old.

My friend had her baby today (yippppeeee) baby girl, all is well, but I burst in to tears on receiving the text!

I think I may be jealous???????? Surely thats odd and damn right unreasonable.

Jealous in a happy way though?

I expect it just brought back the emotions of having a new born, you know, despair, hopelessness only kidding, I mean positive emotions.

awww I get like that!
i was super jealous when my friend had her baby about a month ago and I am pregnant myself!!! lol

pamelat · 02/12/2008 19:00

Yes I don't envy the nights but it makes me feel like my DD is so grown up, and somehow thas really sad (again in a nice way)

How can all these negative emotions be happy and sad at the same time, have become an emotional mess today.

DH's reply was "well lets have another then" but I go back to work in Jan

I just found out a work colleague is pregnant and I am so pleased for her but also am slightly jealous and my DD isn't even 4 months yet!

I think it's normal.

Pregnancy and a new baby are such a personal thing I think it's easy to subconsciously think of it as 'your' thing, IYSWIM.

pamelat, go for it and have another one if that's what you want and DH is keen!

pamelat · 02/12/2008 19:01

YANBU - I cry abit and I have a 3 month old! In the words of DS1 " I want mooooooooore!"

BuckwheatPillow · 02/12/2008 19:05

lol @ the 'I'm the only mother in the village' feeling, but, I guess it is abit true!

pamelat · 02/12/2008 19:05

I wouldnt mind having another but where does it stop, I'll end up with 6 or 7 at this rate if my "cluckyness" keeps up and I'm not even brilliant at it.

perfectly normal IMO. My DS is 10mo and a friend with a 2yo is pregnant. I really couldn't cope with another one now, but I'm still so jealous!

pamelat - I have a grand plan (yes I'm sure it will all go wrong ) that I want to have another when DS is around 3 - hers will be nearly that when her new one is born (she's not very far along) so I'm even more jealous!

pamelat · 02/12/2008 19:49

Yes I suppose that at lest at 3 you get some free child care for the older one.

I just don't think that I can wait that long ! have always been a bit impulsive.
