To not want to pay the cancellation fee, which I'm convinced it was her mistake?

I went to see an acupuncturist last week, and made another appt for today, although it's really expensive I wanted to give it a chance to work....

I was just about to leave for the appt. when she rang me.

She said absolutely nothing except "you had an appt. for 3pm" to which I said "no, it was at 4pm" which I know for several reasons, not least, it was easier to fetch DS, gave me time to put my feet up for half an hour, blah blah blah...

I said oh well I'll make an appt. for next week and pay the cancellation fee then...

But it's in my diary, which I wrote down whilst I was there!! She offered me 3 and 4pm and I choose 4pm......... so isn't it conceivable that she just put my name in the wrong spot?

I feel so messed up about this - it was helping my morning sickness, and mood, which are rotten, but I just don't want to go back now.

Shall I just send her a cheque for the 40 quid and say I don't need it anymore?

Am I over-reacting? I'm being such a wimp.

YANBU - send her nothing and fight your corner, or ask dp to if you can't face it due to general pregnancy lurgy?

Not a wimp - squashed cotton wool feeling very common in my pregnancy at anyrate!!

Something similar happened to me, and I stood my ground. I insisted that I would never have made the appointment for the time they stated because of the school run, it would have been impossible for me to make it.

Funnily enough, I now work for an extremely busy alternative practitioner, doing her bookings by phone, and mistakes my end are easy to make. I now send a text message/quick email to remind people of their appointments the day before.

Thanks for that.

Treedelivery - I just wanted to thank you for being so great when I've just read your circ.s on another thread. It must be gutting, and I quite understand wanting to stay under the duvet until Christmas is over. I'll be thinking of you.

It's made up my mind too - we couldn't really afford the therapy stuff anyway, so I'm going to just write to her, include a cheque and hope that when I explain she just returns it/tears it up.

Now let me just find that duvet.....
