quite frankly i have a massive head ache and a 22 month old ds, who is just wrecking the joint!!! as soon as i try to get sorted and tidy, he is causing mayhem!!
so it all seems pointless.
i turned my back on him for a minute, and he had the lid off the sudocrem, and was smearing it all over the floor/walls and stair carpet!!!!! also has ripped 2 of dds pictures, and put a fairy book of hers down the toilet!!!

my head is done in today!!

i think i will get his coat on and take him for a long walk, and try to calm down.

there is a lot of truth in the saying,
trying to tidy the house, whilst the kids are still growing, is like trying to shovel up snow while it is still snowing!!! or words to that affect!

dp will be furious though, as the house is a dump!! and we had a huge row this morning.

shall i just think sod it for today??

im stressed now, so ds is crying and miserable
xx

I would say, stuff the housework BUT if it is going to cause massive ructions with DP then why not go for a walk (will make you feel better, take some painkillers and then come back and do a quick clean round?

You have my sympathies - more with the DP getting cross than anything else! Good luck

mumto3boys · 28/11/2008 13:38

nah just leave it. apart from maybe mving the sudocrem!

To save an argument you could always have a quick tidy 10 mins before DH is due home

Seuss · 28/11/2008 13:40

Leave everything, go for a walk, come home and stuff everything in cupboards/under rug. Then snuggle with ds and a nice cup of tea!

Pimmpom · 28/11/2008 13:40

Definitely go out for that walk!

matildax · 28/11/2008 14:35

thanks everyone [smile[
lol seuss!!

went for a long walk, and both me and ds feel better, going to have a coffee, then maybe a quick tidy round. it really does look like a bomb has dropped though.

i am sure dp will think, i have not done any house work because of the row this morning!!

oh sod it, he can do it if it bothers him that much!!!

by the way, how do you manage to keep the house relatively presentable with a little terror????? my dd also who is 6, is terrible at tidying, i feel i am fighting a losing battle, and i am getting weaker everyday!!!
im sure though that one day, i will miss all the mess and commotion (sp?) though.......

Tell me about it - I've just lost half-hour on mumsnet! Where do I start???

I am going to buy some big screens to hide things behind (cupboards are full).

matildax · 28/11/2008 14:53

screens would be good here too!! good idea.
by the way, very cool name seuss. im very partial to his books!!

off to kick a few things under the sofa, and under the beds.

that will do for today
