I just cannot be arsed with it, the shopping, the trying to find the receipts for people who don't like the presents I chose them, the cooking, the overeating, the 'having to go on a diet' afterwards cos I ate to much, having to be nice to my family for DAYS. I'd be much happier at home with crap on the tv and loads of wine

Unreasonable...???? Hell no! Have wanted to cancel Christmas from the age of 16! Hideous day of the year when the pressure is on to fit every bugger into one day when you can go 6 months and see none of them and they're not bothered you haven't!!! Have had a demanding mum since the age of 16 who have had to "look after" before even considering my needs or preferences. Since having kiddies over 3 years ago have continued to look afta my mum (who I have to add although I love her...have to she's my mum... is the most selfish woman I have ever come across in my whole life... and that is a consensus not just my opinion) Anyway after a particularly hideous incident in OCT (if interested I'll bore you with it!) am doing what I and hubby want and what's best for my kiddies this year and going to my Dads for the first time in 18 years! Am actually looking forward to it despite upsetting the in laws and my mother who daren't hissy fit currently... but there's still time! Would cancel the whole bloody lot if it wasn't for the kiddiesXXX

I remember my best friends wedding. She turned up at my door a couple of weeks before after having a panic attack in the city centre. Poor thing. Nightmare!

I'm banning it this year, seriously. We are having yule instead because christmas is just crap!
