she introduced my son to the TOTAL SHIT that is 'goldenballs' and now we are subjected to it nightly?

Come on, no jury in the world would convict me, surely?

It is total total SHIIIIIIIIIITE!!!

I thought they'd dug great grooves with their fingernails when they came up with deal or no deal, but fuck me.

Is it because there's nobody left who could answer an actual question then?

We are reduced to playing eeny meeny miney moe because nobody knows anything any more.

Gawd, that programme is awful. Not only boring, but also disgusting the way it rewards people for gaining other people's trust then stabbing them in the back. My DS likes it too. Eurrrgh.

juicyjolly · 24/11/2008 18:50

Am I the only one to wonder what is going on between hecate and bella.

frankbestfriend · 24/11/2008 18:54

hecate, my wonderful grandparents have bought dd the blardy electronic boardgame for Christmas

Avoid the dcs discovering the existence of that treasure at all costs

bellavita · 24/11/2008 19:06

My arms are out ready to give you a squeeze and a hug hecate

juicy - are you new? I have only been on here just over a year, but in that time, I have found hecate and her posts endearing, funny, wise and I like reading them, they cheer me up. You just warm to some posters

bellavita · 24/11/2008 19:08

oh and fwiw - I love Golden Balls! and Celeb Get Me Outta Here and X-Factor and Strictly - yes I am sad!

deste · 24/11/2008 19:08

I cant watch either, they make me feel ill.

juicyjolly · 24/11/2008 19:15

deste...glad its not just me then

colacubes · 24/11/2008 19:28

No it is a shiteous programme, and is full of absolute ballons trying to sound like Inspector Clueso, go and give her a slap!

pointydog · 24/11/2008 19:31

animaux, as long as the Edmonds doesn't show his face in my house, I try not to care too much

juicyjolly · 24/11/2008 19:32

cola...doohhhhh I might sound a bit dumb, but what are you on about?

hecate · 24/11/2008 20:31

juicy - i pay bella to come on my threads and tell me I'm lovely.

psst, bella - cheque's in the post, with a nice xmas bonus!

bella, you up north, yes? whereabouts (roughly, if you want to maintain the mystery! )

juicyjolly · 24/11/2008 20:50

Oooohhh spooky....are you stalking me now!

bellavita · 24/11/2008 21:19

hecate - I live on the outskirts of York.

Dttoydto · 24/11/2008 21:22

OMG - my ds's love it as well! They discovered it for themselves and they're addicted. It's bizarre. Ds2 doesn't even understand it but still loves it.

It's completely weird - they've obviously focussed on it appealing to small children who then make us have it on so that we can cook tea in peace...

hecate · 24/11/2008 21:27

oh, nice, I went up there a while ago. It's like a fort, isn't it?

Or something.

OP posts:
hecate · 24/11/2008 21:28

did you mean me, juicy? we are meeting on a few threads tonight, aren't we?

Tis nice. We don't chat often.

OP posts:
bellavita · 24/11/2008 21:47

It has walls around it - if thats what you mean?

If I had known you were up here, we could have met up - Squonky does not live far from me - we could have had a mumsnet meet-up.

twinsetandpearls · 24/11/2008 21:48

I love goldenballs , I used it as a starter in my lesson the other week.

hecate · 24/11/2008 21:49

yes. walls around it. Is it not some sort of old fortified town thingie then? - astonishing, my lack of basic knowledge, is it not?

If I am ever up that way again, I would love to meet up.

What on earth do you teach, twin?

HRHSaintMamazon · 24/11/2008 21:52

my dad has gotten my Ds quite enthusiastic about golden balls too.

he lovesthe end bit as he likes to guess who will steal/split.

psychomum5 · 24/11/2008 21:57

I have no idea what goldenballs is, but if it is as bad (or worse) than DOND, then I will happily send you my axe to help the job along

Jux · 24/11/2008 22:06

They are both absolute bollocks. DD tried to watch them because classmates do/did. It only lasted a little while.

Try putting on a dvd half an hour before the prog starts and then she'll miss it!
