My eldest is 18 and has had erm, a few 'partners' it has to be said. She is worried as she is bleeding between periods and has had chlamydia (sorry if tmi, and I'm not proud of this but..) Also, there is a family history of cervical cancer - my granny, my sister, me.. Yet, her doctors say she can't have a smear till she's 25!!! Do I storm the surgery??

No YANBU i had my fist lot of pre cancerous cells removed at 19, i am 28 now and have had to have to done 3 times despite 6or 12 monthly smears.

25 is far to late, people should start having smear tests as soon as they are sexually active.

YANBU

When i had DD at 18 i was told i could have one at 20, i went back after having DS 3 months after turning 20 and was told they've raised the age to 25!
I saw that woman on tv and did think about going to the gum clinic to have one but then heard about them throwing it away for anyone under 25 I'm 23 now...
