On today's "wanted" list:

A Nintento DS Lite.

I have also seen requests for:
A Car (no more then 7 years old)
A Wii
A Wii Fit
A Bugapoo
Laptops

Surely that's not the point of Freecycle?

(Before the pedants Français get me, I had to delve into the depths of my tired brain to get the word for Takers. I may well be wrong.)

Its a good way of passing things around... I have put lots of offers on our local one.
I also put up a 'wanted' for a birthing pool, (which I thought was chancing it a bit but...) which someone responded to straight away, and when I have used it I will pass it on via free cycle.

How about this one (genuine and current - have copied and pasted)

WANTED

camcorder for when my baby is born
ipod for labour to calm me abit
d.s as my last 1 was stolen by my ex bf
laptop as i have always wanted one

and any baby items

travel system pram(carseat)
clothes
bottles
breast pump
blankets
cot
moses basket
ect

Thing is, I could have given her some of the things on her list, but seeing the others puts me off lifting a finger to help her.

somebody WANTS ect?

surely that is free on the nhs anyway?

How do you know these people haven't offered out some really valuable stuff in the past? How dreadfully judgemental, if you don't want to give to them, don't. What a pointless issue to get worked up about...

ebayqueen · 16/11/2008 16:40

I was very annoyed when a woman asked for baby clothes. I responded saying I had loads in the attic and would sort some out for her. I spent about three hours sorting stuff out and she didn't turn up to collect. I then had an email apologising and saying she didn't want them and then she didn't turn up a second time! These are the kind of people who should be banned.

All my stuff is now going to the local charity shop. Although they didn't seem interested when I tried to give it to them. Acted like they were doing me a favour. I suppose it's a sad reflection of our throwaway society that everyone wants new.

er...who said anything about getting worked up?
