I see the headlines. horrid
but I can't let myself know anything about the detail.. the headlines have told me what I need to know in order that I don't open links/newspaper etc.

Should I be exposing myself to the detailed horror? and if I should what would be gained by me knowing?

parents were perpetrators yes but other registered professions will have to account for their interventions, actions, observations

as they should

retrospective statements, analysis of notes etc to try get facts and enhance understanding of events.potentially to avoid a recurrence

I can't believe they showed his blood stained t-shirts on the news, it's horrific. I turned over quickly, then my Husband blurted out one of the things they did to him. I was so annoyed that he'd told me when he knew I'd turned over for a reason. I'm on fertility drugs at the mo which make me very ratty/ tearfull. I was also about to go to work all night on my own.
He has no common sence.

I've hidden the thread - wonder how many others have ?

My son is 17 months old and I haven't been able to look at any of the details, because I know what similar cases in the past have done to me.

Surely there needs to be a complete review of the whole social work field? Some kind of independent, second opinion in every serious case, and yes not an area in which I would like to see less public spending.
