I'm fed up of them.
There was a jokey thread a while back about AIBU by stealth but mumsnet seems to be having a rush on them at the moment.
AIBU yes you are BUT BLAH BLAH BLAH oh well in that case yanbu but you should have told us all in the first place.

I think AIBU threads should be like the classifieds.
With a 'read this before you jump in' bit. Which will list everything you need to consider before posting an AIBU.

Such as:

Full facts
More facts
Any relevant other facts
Any facts that might not seem relevant now but will appear very much so after a couple of responses
Any other facts that are totally irrelevant but might one day be relevant to another totally unrelated AIBU thread.

Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Your OP wasn't that lighthearted, it was making a serious point.

Wasn't it?

RagingHormone · 10/11/2008 17:04

YABU- otherwise there'd be no conversation. Plus, I for one forget things in the OP and then think oh bugger, add that in, uh-oh I forgot such and such

merryberry · 10/11/2008 17:09

i'm loling and nodding at op

2shoes · 10/11/2008 17:12

oh so this is about another thread.
could you not have put that in the op.

lou031205 · 10/11/2008 20:05

ready2pop - sincere apologies, I can see that it probably seemed as if I was criticising you by quoting littlefish.

I wasn't at all, it just made me laugh that littlefish broke away from the usual 'style' of MNers, and said her piece so diplomatically. I in no way thought that you personally were an idiot.

This sort of thing comes up time, and time, and time again - you aren't the first, and certainly won't be the last.

Once again, sincere apologies for seeming to be contributing to a thread about a thread, but my lol was a more general one.
