am 28 weeks pg. Office toilet stopped working entirely last Friday morning. I am only person in the office and it really stinks. (Luckily I have a heavy cold so full horror isn't being experienced by me).
I told necessary people on Friday, still not working. It is raining and cold and I'm tired of plodding up and down the street to hotel . It takes too long to drive there.

If you are the only person in the office - was it, er, your doings that are causing the subsequent smell? If so, YABU. If someone else's deposit, then YANBU

Isn't it against health and safety to be the only person in the office? Personally I would go home / work from home / another office until it's fixed. A working toilet is your right too. Take this up with someone, for you own sanity.

Hmm, unsanitary for a pregnant woman, that's for sure. Tell them you are feeling nauseious as a result, and go home!!!!

thanks everyone, I'm really embarrassed that I'm poisoning myself . really, i do feel pukey. have had to go to loo 2 mins ago as I knew I couldn't make it (no pint glass to hand unlike that other thread!)I will email again (dontcha love the bureaucracy?)

B52s - where did you hear that you can't be the only person in an office? Seems a bit ridiculous imo.

I have worked alone for the last 3.5 years and have no problem with it. Its turned me into a bit of sergeant major though if someone else uses my office for a bit. I'm not used to talking outside break etc! Ho hum loo still not working today. Pardon me while i puke.

aaargh!. Loo still not fixed today despite promises galore. I rang and emailed my managers saying that I was wet through(between us, in every sense ) and that with their consent I was going home for Health and Safety reasons. Neither of them have replied to my telephone calls,I called them each twice. Now I'm panicking 'cos I just went home. Should I scuttle back to the office or just keep ringing?
Sorry am in a fluster as just snapped after 5th consecutive day without a loo.

Help and advice needed (and you can laugh, it is funny I know!)

I think you acted entirely reasonably. If they can't be arsed to get a plumber round, then they are not providing a safe working environment for you.
Do you think that your employers are about to go bust or something and that's why they don't care?

thanks solidgoldbrass. I work for a state department so no chance of them going bust! Should I keep ringing?
