Under no circumstances whatsoever should you go to a supermarket on a Saturday. It is full of people like that woman.

rude, rude, rude!!!

(her, not you!)

All this talk of bird poo reminds me of a place I used to work where some arrogant shite would illegally park in our work places. He was a persistent offender and ignored every polite request and sign put to him. He drove a swanky cabriolet and one day left the top down so, when he was gone, a few of us sneaked over to the car and scattered bread all over his nicely upholstered seats.
Didn't look so good once the seagulls had swooped down, and pecked and crapped all over them.
He never offended again - strangely.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but couldn't resist sharing that little gem.

Moral of the story - always keep some bread handy in your bag for bird-assisted revenge!

well done- you did very very well to control your response. You prevented an escalation- since from the ape response you initialy got to your polite staetement , shows obviously they have very little social sense and who knows how far they would have taken it.

listen, you're not safe even in waitrose. my sis was just starting up her engine after shopping when a car swung in beside her and the driver opened his door bang slap into her passenger door. she got out at once and so did his wife, who started spitting on a tissue and wiping the door, saying 'see, it's nothing'. it was a visible dent! so my sis asked for their insurance details and the man finally rolled his window down and said, 'i'll start a law suit against you if you claim against me.' fortunately my sis is thick-skinned and clear-headed and told him that since he had damaged her car she was entitled to get the damaged fixed so what exactly would be the premise of his lawsuit? all without swearing!

ocado, it's the only way...
