Please.

Are you utterly barking?

Why not ask them for some bog roll instead

wonderwoman73 · 07/11/2008 13:55

Sorry but YUCK, YUCK, YUCK! If you want one, just go buy it ok. There's such a thing as TMI you know!

beanieb · 07/11/2008 13:56

REALLY?

I mentioned them to my work mate and she went out to buy one straight away. I was thinking it's something I need/want, it's christmas... why not?

Who do you imagine will run out and get you one and then sit round a christmas tree waiting for you to unwrap it in front of your family on Christmas day? Your Dad/ grandmother/son? A bit like asking for sanitary towels. Must be something else you would like.

AnathemaDevice · 07/11/2008 13:57

Depends how open you are with your family, I suppose! I wouldn't have a problem with it, but then again almost everyone I know has already listened to me prattle on about how wonderful mooncups are, whether they wanted to know or not!

AnathemaDevice · 07/11/2008 14:04

Oh, and I asked my husband to buy my last one as part of my birthday present, after I let the pan boil dry when sterilising the old one and melted it.

Lotster · 07/11/2008 14:09

I assume you're taking the pickle!! You wouldn't ask for tampons in your stocking!

Gave me a giggle anyway

If.. you're not joking...
Seriously, I'm sure your family would rather not have to visualise how you collect your period when they're tucking in to their Christmas dinner...

beanieb · 07/11/2008 14:20

there's loads I would like but our family do often buy practical things. I always have a hard time working out what I want.

Surely tampons are different. Of course I wouldn't ask for them. So far a Mooncup is the only thing I can think that I need!

I thought a mooncup was for period?
You're not joking then. I can't imagine
that a discussion with my folks but maybe I'm uptight

I'm actually now more intreagued what lovely meal Anathema's lucky family had next from the mooncup saucepan... mmm..

TeenyTinyTorya · 07/11/2008 14:33

My dh got me a mooncup for my last Christmas. Depends how open you are with your family.

jette · 07/11/2008 14:38

Just ask for Boots vouchers and then buy your own

ermintrude13 · 07/11/2008 14:40

my sis said they're on the boots threefer, so why not get one for several female relatives at once?

beanieb · 09/11/2008 15:16

I've run this past my sister and she says NO THANK YOU to a mooncup for christmas, my mum is menopausa so not sure if the three for the price of 2 offer is a good one! Maybe I should buy myself one and get two other things on the offer!

Perfect beanieb - but yourself one in boots and buy 2 xmas prezzies at the same time and it's yours for free
