well, sometimes they could all be called psycho....

sunnygirl1412 · 07/11/2008 15:26

Well my name's clearly unacceptable to custardo too, psychomum5.

I honestly don't get it - why do I have to have a nickname that everyone likes?? I'm happy with it and don't see the need to go round being abusive of other people for their choice of nickname.

Frankly, custardo, you are being petty and unpleasant with this thread - why start a thread to SHOW the world how nasty you can be?

If you have to put others down to make yourself feel better, that says far more about you than it does about those you choose to criticise.

I neither need nor want your approval - I just hope that your dc's aren't running around being as nasty to other children just because their names aren't imaginative enough!!

combustiblelemon · 07/11/2008 15:30

I don't think that's likely Sunnygirl1412.

psychomum5 · 07/11/2008 15:30

ach, I'm not actually offended, but I know custy of old and she isn;t being mean, just pedantic.

there are often threads popping up saying that anyone with 'mum' or a number in their name are pants......in fact cod was the most prolific in that

if I was truly offended I would have changed years back......I just stick around knowing I can annoy them with the name.

LivingLaVidaLurker2 · 07/11/2008 15:35

I'm off to have a lie down and a serious think about what I've done wrong.

sunnygirl1412 · 07/11/2008 15:37

This may be one of the occasions where I should have written a post and then gone away to think about things before posting it. Someone else had a poke at my name-with-numbers elsewhere on mumsnet, so maybe I overreacted a bit.

I am a bit hurt, but shouldn't have said all I did say - apologies to all concerned, especially custardo.

Tortington · 07/11/2008 15:38

Thanks too, custardo.

Hope I haven't put you all off me altogether - I'm not usually so stroppy - honest (except with the kids when they don't tidy their bedrooms or with dh when he doesn't listen to me - which is pretty much all of the time.........)

sunnygirl.

pingping · 07/11/2008 16:05

FairLadyRantALot · 07/11/2008 16:21

thanks for further explanation of binary thing...getting it now [lightbulb emoticon]

Gosh, sometimes I am astounded at my own thickness....igh!

by the way when I started using my original (if non-original) name I just felt very strongly that way ...my feelings have not changed, of course....I still stand by 3andnomore, lol....BUT felt my new name really is more me....saying that....hmm , the FairLady part is, of course, a huge big fat lie...not pretty and not a Lady ...but the RantALot is true to it's word
