Workday mornings chez badger are a clockwork routine of well-honed efficiency - I get up, shower and dress, get 14m dd up, do breakfast and laundry and leave the house exactly an hour after my alarm went off.
There's even time built in for one emergency (extra bf, poo, refusal to get dressed etc).
Well, that was the story up when dd, who was a slow starter when it came to solids, wasn't especially interested in breakfast. Now she polishes off a bowl of mini shredded wheats and moves on to toast and hummus or cheese, then yoghurt and maybe some fruit... or at least she does at the weekend.
On weekday mornings the poor scrap barely has time to finish her cereal before she's bundled into the car.
They eat little-and-often at nursery, (morning milk, elevenses, lunch, afternoon milk, tea), and she has supper when we get home (and unlimited milk all night ) and she's a sturdy little thing with a podgy tum, so I know she's not actually going without...
but AIBU to not want to get up at 6am in order to serve my pfb a long, leisurely breakfast? [bleary]
