is this worthy of a complaint letter or do i need to get over myself?

Took dd (2) and ds (7 months) to M and S cafe for lunch today, they both sat in highchairs (dont ask why dd did)

Ds had some of my bread roll he did drop a piece a cleaner came and swept under his chair, i thought it could have waited but didnt say anything

He then started sweeping under my feet (no real visisble mess) and actually swept my foot with broom....he then said sorry, i replied it was ok, but that we were trying to eat (hint, hint, please clean another table)

he then pulled out empty chair next to me and swept underneath, the went round the other side and pulled out chair next to dd and started sweeping

i was a bit peeved as kids totally distracted now and didnt really eat, waste of money and isnt it rude?

i think their training is bizarre, girl bringing my soup said she couldnt fetch me a vlean tea cup (mine was stained) as she wasnt allowed to touch anything outside kitchen as it wouldnt be hygienic (very sincere and polite) but then touched ds head and cheek as he was a lovely baby

maybe he had special needs?

filz · 03/11/2008 18:00

because sweeping someone arse with a broom isnt really what anormal person would do, so maybe you should just forget it?

littleducks · 03/11/2008 18:23

he didnt appear to, hadnt considered that, he seemed foreign, had a strong accent which is why i thought it was a training thing, maybe he wouldnt see it as rude

I've had my bare feet mopped in a swimming pool changing room recently whilst standing there getting dressed. I was quite pissed off about it as I had just had shower and mop was dirty. YANBU to be cross about it, but I wouldn't complain about it (I didn't).

would you really complain about that? Blimey.

wotulookinat · 03/11/2008 18:42

What's wrong with a 2 year old being in a high chair?

littleducks · 03/11/2008 21:20

so in cnclusion, i need to get out more!

she hasnt been in a highchair for ages, no need but she is now very jealous of ds as he has just started eating

I'm impressed - my DS is just 2 and goes in a high chair otherwise he finds the world too exciting to sit still and eat!

it would be very petty to complain. you do need to get out more.
