To hate those who 'steal' car parking spaces?

Am I the only one who gets so irate, perhaps overly so, at this situation?

When you have waited patiently for a car that is about to leave its parking space, with your indicator clearing INDICATING your intention to pull into the soon-to-be-vacated space; only for said car to reverse at an awkward angle thus allowing for some jumped up, rude, arrogant, ignorant, hoo ha of a lady to race at speed into the space, almost hitting into the aforementioned reversing car.

We asked her why she had chosen to take a space that we were clearly waiting for. Her response- "Well, it happened to me too. Annoying, isn't it?" She then had the audacity to claim we hadn't been waiting for as long as we had.

I have never been so consumed by blind rage over such a trivial matter, and all I could muster was, "You rude, rude lady!"

blue badge holders can park in it of course. Hopefully they wouldn't be so selfish realising that you have one outisde your house cos you can't walk.

There's one near ours with a blue badge with a little sign that says this space is reserved for house no.xyz. The sign was put in place because the lady next door has a blue badge for her disabled son - he can walk fine for short distances, just not long distances. The chap that it had been painted for is in a wheelchair and needed the extra space to get his chair in and out but would regularly come home to find my neighbour in the space.

she needs to get a painted space too. My space is actually shorter than the car so when I go out people park to the white line on either side (shoppers for the high street ignoring the 2 large carparks that are free ffs) so no way can I get the car in.
I have MS and dd has cerebral palsy.

No I agree I live in centre of Brighton and cant park outside my own house due to Amercian express parking everyday, I cant even take kids out in car or shopping unless i go midnight so i know i can get a space .drives me mad (angry)

needsmorecoffee - it's actually a small car park for a set of 6 houses. There are plenty of spaces unless someone is having lots of friends/family over, which only really happened at Christmas time. The space was painted so that he could park with enough space to remove his wheelchair. I'm sure she used to park in it just because she had a blue badge and was peed off because she didn't have a space painted for her - even though there was plenty of parking so she would never have had trouble finding a space for her car.
