My grandma came to watch my sons play at the school. As the little ones were leaving the hall, one boy (about 5 years old) put his fists up to my grandma and made a 'come on!' style gesture at her!

Would you have just ignored it or mentioned it to a teacher?

LOL hatrick

DaphneMoon · 21/10/2008 13:46

She probably whispered "come and have a go if you think your 'ard enough" in his ear as he walked by.

Out of interest Ghost, how old is your Grandma?

GhostlySinCity · 21/10/2008 13:47

She's 78.

Why are people taking the piss out of grandma?

OP posts:
mrsruffallo · 21/10/2008 13:47

I reckon she took her teeth out and gurned at him

CrushWithEyeliner · 21/10/2008 13:48

Sounds vile - I feel sorry for him and pity the parents tbh.

Why are people taking the piss out of grandma?

was that the most plaintive post ever?

LOLOL Hatrick

GhostlySinCity · 21/10/2008 13:52

I don't think so, not that I saw anyway. She may have had a good chuckle at his hairstyle though, I know I often do.

i would have ignored it

DaphneMoon · 21/10/2008 13:53

Oh bless you Ghost, we are not taking the piss out of Grandma. I love your Grandma and have never even met her! We are kind of sticking up for her. This has turned out quite funny though.

I'm pretty sure my granny (83) would've said 'oy'. Or summat.

edam · 21/10/2008 13:55

What a horrid little boy. Who will hopefully get his comeuppance one of these days.

GhostlySinCity · 21/10/2008 14:00

It would've been a laugh if she'd thrown her handbag at him followed by an "Ave it!" comment.

What do old people put their handbags anyway? they always seem to weigh a ton and they're huge.

I think the consensus is that grandma is awesome. I reckon they carry bricks. For mugging emergencies.

I would have said something to the boy at the time just a quick 'no, we don't behave like that it's not nice' to let him know she's not fair game. But 'tis one of the things where if you don't say something at the time there's no point saying anything later.

sarahsmom · 21/10/2008 14:11

i would give all the other children toys and sweets and told him he cant have any because he is a rude little twat

HappyLife · 21/10/2008 14:13

I would have said something to his teacher if she'd been around and told her how upset/ofended my grandma was. That's certainly not the way children are expected to behave when visitors come to school, even if they are only in Reception! The child would have got into big trouble.

she should have made him feel really small like a little tiny lady bird, that would have shown the little hoodlum. wipe out bad behaviour as its just not on, does everybody agree

sarahsmom · 21/10/2008 14:18

do they make muzzles for children

GhostlySinCity · 21/10/2008 14:23

They should make an entire muzzle, lead and collar for this little shite.

Funny thing is, he is REALLY small, even for a 5 year old so you just look at him and think..."yeah off you pop, titch" and he's all like "come on! I'll 'ave ya! every last one of ya!" and you're like "ok" and one little flick and he goes flying across the room.

LOL at this thread. Big cheers for Grandma's (and Grandad's) all round.

Those handbags are always good if you need a hanky - they always carry a hanky just in case!
